Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You will perform essential repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles, with opportunities to gain ASE certifications and advance your skills.

This on-site role requires a valid driver's license, 2 years of experience or automotive coursework, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. We offer on-the-job training, paid time off, insurance, and 401k benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a mechanical shop environment.
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles.
• Oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and other routine maintenance or warranty-related repairs.
• Support senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work as you build skills.
• Maintain vehicle reliability and safety to reduce downtime and ensure vehicles are ready for customers.
