Job summary

Northrich Automotive in Richardson, TX is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician (A, B, or Master level) to inspect, diagnose, and repair a broad range of foreign and domestic vehicles. You will join a busy family-owned shop with year-round work and a clear path to maximize your paycheck.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred (A or B-level ability).
• Ability to complete diagnostics and repairs independently across multiple foreign and domestic makes.
• Personal technician tools appropriate for your experience level.
• Tech-savvy with tablets, digital vehicle inspections, and advanced scan tools.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ASE certifications are a major plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns based on experience level.
• Perform brake, steering, suspension, cooling-system, A/C, and drivetrain repairs.
• Use scan data, testing procedures, and service information to identify root causes and check-engine lights.
• Perform thorough digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) using tablets and shop software, documenting findings with notes and photos.
• Communicate findings clearly to service advisors and verify completed repairs through quality-control testing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, and assist developing technicians when appropriate.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Future Saturday flexibility may be required as we grow)

• B-Level Techs: $30.00 – $35.00 / flagged hour
• A-Level Techs: $35.00 – $40.00 / flagged hour
• Master / Diagnostic Techs: $40.00 – $55.00+ / flagged hour
• Performance Bonus: Additional performance-based bonuses paid out to reward high productivity.

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience preferred (A or B-level mechanical ability).
• Capability: Ability to complete diagnostics and repairs independently across multiple foreign and domestic makes.
• Tools: Personal technician tools appropriate for your experience level.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable utilizing tablets, digital vehicle inspections, and advanced scan tools.
• Credentials: Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. (ASE certifications are a major plus but not required).
