Job summary

Stress-Free Auto Care in San Mateo, CA is seeking experienced A-Level/Master Automotive Technicians to diagnose complex problems, perform high-quality repairs, and take pride in their work. If you're the technician others turn to when diagnosis gets difficult, we want to meet you.

Diagnose bumper-to-bumper, handle drivability and electrical concerns, and mentor junior techs while maintaining safety and shop efficiency.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical skills.
• Experience with professional scan tools and OEM/aftermarket repair information.
• L1 Advanced Engine Performance strongly preferred.
• Hybrid/EV and ADAS experience is a plus.
• Professional tool set.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
• Strong communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
• Certifications are not required to be hired. We support ongoing training and certification testing.

Responsibilities

Compensation

• Up to $65+/hr, based on experience and demonstrated ability
• Uncapped performance/production bonus
• Paid hourly for every hour worked
• Diagnostic time is compensated as part of the repair process

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach throughout the workday; occasionally lift 50+ pounds; safely operate lifts, tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicles; work in a fast-paced automotive environment; and wear required PPE.
