Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate in Virginia to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and performance standards. You will work with a skilled team in a climate-controlled facility, gaining hands-on experience across domestic and foreign cars while following EH&S guidelines.

The role includes ongoing training, access to advanced tools, and growth opportunities within a national retailer, with a signing bonus up to $5,000 for new hires meeting experience

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as required by state/local law.
