Job summary

Waterloo Automotive is seeking a Production Technician to join our team in Waterloo, IL. The role focuses on accurate repair and maintenance across diverse vehicle systems, with a drive to keep vehicles moving through the shop efficiently.

You will complete digital inspections, document findings clearly, follow SOPs and safety guidelines, and communicate status to advisors and leadership. A Certified technician with 3–5 years of experience and owned tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Perform repair and maintenance work accurately across a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections and document findings clearly and consistently.
• Follow shop SOPs, safety guidelines, and repair procedures on every job.
• Communicate job status and repair needs with advisors and shop leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and support overall shop flow.
• Have some existing automotive repair certifications (ASE or manufacturer).
• Own necessary tools / equipment to perform automotive repairs / maintenance.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.

The Technician Role
