Job summary

Tully Auto Supply in New York is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our independent repair shop. Hourly pay will be based on your skills and experience, with benefits including 401(k), health insurance, and paid time off.

We offer a 5-day work week with no nights or weekends, plus a $500 sign-on bonus after probation. Responsibilities include diagnosing vehicle codes, performing maintenance tasks, and communicating repair information clearly to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or automotive service technician training preferred.
• ASE or SAE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes.
• Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status and documentation.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements.
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of engine, transmission, and brakes.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Convey repair information to customers clearly.

As an incentive, a $500 sign-on bonus will be provided to the qualified applicant upon completion of the required probation period.

Responsibilities

• Use your expertise and diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes


• Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status, maintaining technical documentation, and other necessary protocols


• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements


• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes


• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business


• Convey necessary vehicle repair information to customers in a clear and concise manner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required


• An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred


• Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred


• Strong customer service and communications skills are required
