Genesis of Round Rock, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team and deliver extraordinary customer experiences. As a Flat Rate Technician, you will perform repairs and maintenance work in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards to provide an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on vehicles following factory and dealership specifications.
- Ensure customers receive a world‑class service experience at every step of the ownership journey.
- Maintain technical knowledge and expertise to repair and maintain vehicles to the highest factory and dealership standards.
- Communicate technical information regarding customer vehicles to Service Advisors clearly and effectively.
- Comply with all manufacturer standards of quality and timeliness for repairs and maintenance work and ensure all estimates and work orders are accurate.
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to shop operations, including hazardous waste handling, OSHA, and use of personal protective equipment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of dealership experience with safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
- Positive, friendly, enthusiastic “team‑player” attitude.
- Genuine interest in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Brand knowledge preferred but not required.
