McInerney Auto Centers is seeking experienced Mobile Automotive Technicians to service commercial and fleet vehicles across Michigan. You will travel to customer locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair fleet vehicles, with a focus on minimizing downtime and clear communication of status.

The role emphasizes independence, reliable service, and the ability to manage a dedicated territory in Metropolitan Detroit, Grand Rapids, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience servicing commercial vans and light-duty trucks preferred.
• ASE certifications helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to diagnose, maintain and repair fleet vehicles.
• Communicate repair findings and vehicle status to customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on brakes, steering, HVAC, electrical and driveline components.
• Assist with fleet inspections and scheduled maintenance.

• Grand Rapids

This position is ideal for a dependable, self-motivated technician who enjoys working independently and wants to earn a strong income without the expense and administrative burden of operating a mobile repair business.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will travel to customer business locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial fleet vehicles. Our customers depend on us to minimize downtime, so communication, efficiency, and accurate repairs are essential.

Typical services include:

• Preventive maintenance and oil services
• Brakes, rotors, calipers, and wheel-end repairs
• Batteries, starters, and alternators
• Steering and suspension repairs
• Axles and intermediate shafts
• Heating and air-conditioning repairs
• Electrical and diagnostic work
• Minor engine and drivetrain repairs
• Fleet inspections and scheduled maintenance

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Dependable, organized, and customer-focused
• Comfortable communicating repair findings and vehicle status
