Role Description The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Patty Peck Honda in Ridgeland, MS. This role involves performing routine maintenance services such as inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, as well as diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues on Honda and other vehicles. The technician will complete repair orders accurately, follow manufacturer and dealership guidelines, and use diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure vehicles are serviced safely and efficiently. Daily responsibilities include communicating clearly with service advisors, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and upholding high standards of customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in general Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair across a variety of systems.
• Hands-on experience performing Oil Changes and other routine service procedures.
• Proficiency in Automotive Repair, including troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
• Knowledge of Suspension systems and ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair related components.
• Relevant technical training or certification in automotive technology; ASE certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, service bulletins, and diagnostic reports.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Strong attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills; prior experience in a dealership or professional shop environment preferred.
