Job summary

WILSON TIRE & AUTO LLC in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced automotive technician capable of handling a wide shop workflow and diagnostic tasks. You should own a complete set of tools and be comfortable working independently after orientation; we operate in a collaborative team environment.

The role covers tires, oil changes, engine work, diagnostics, and repairs across American/Asian makes, with occasional European work.

Looking for an experienced automotive technician that can handle following shop work flow systems and required technology. This person will be able to function independently after a half day of orientation, and maybe an extra couple days of instruction in regards to shop systems and requirements. Technician will have their own complete set of tools/tool box, including scanner (shop scanner is available for use). ASE certified is preferred, but not required.

Need to be able to work on all makes and models of cars and trucks. We do not do any heavy duty truck repair or diesel specific work. We are primarily American/Asian, but do a fair amount of European and other foreign makes; however, no high end specialty or sports cars. Technicians are expected to be able to do everything from tires and tire repair, to oil changes to engine replacements and everything in between. Technicians are expected to handle their own diagnostics and repairs accordingly; however, we work in a team environment so we do encourage to ask questions of the other technicians if you want a second opinion or have a question on something – nobody knows everything. The more you can and are willing to do, the more valuable you are.

We are technology based, and operate on a paper-free basis (all programs are web-based including shop operating software so all appointments, work orders, estimates, inspections, etc. are done through phones/tablets/computers). Experience with TekMetric (or similar programs), Digital Video Inspections, and technicians writing their own estimates are huge pluses, although not required.

We growing fast and are currently in the process of adding 3 more bays (and additional technicians) to the shop with an estimated completion by end of 2026.

We cannot guarantee you hours or that you will make a certain amount of money, those are on the technician, based on their skills, knowledge and experience, along with their work ethic and ability to follow the shop processes. We can guarantee number of cars. We have the numbers to back up car count, TARO, ARO, close ratio, etc. If you understand all the terms in the previous sentence, you are a leg ahead already.
