Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform fluid flushes and replacements, inspect vehicles, replace belts/hoses, test batteries, mount and balance tires, and conduct general repairs and diagnostics.

You will maintain clean work areas, follow safety policies, and work Saturdays as part of a five-day schedule. ASE certification or eligibility is supported, and candidates must have a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Automotive Repair Technicians must be able to accurately repair vehicles using advanced automotive diagnostic equipment.
  • Previous experience as an Automotive Technician for providing technical guidance.
  • ASE certifications or ability to obtain them within 12 months, paid for by AAA, or car dealer certifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Valid driver’s license must be possessed and maintained
  • Must work Saturdays as part of the regular schedule
  • Ability to complete pre-employment background check, drug screening, and fitness for duty assessment
  • Authorized to work in the USA

Responsibilities

  • Perform fluid flushes and replacements, inspections, belt/hose replacements, battery testing and replacement, and general repairs.
  • Clean and maintain test equipment and machines
  • Empty and clean portable fluid drains according to shop guidelines
  • Mount, balance, and install tires
  • Maintain and develop general automotive and technical skills
  • Perform maintenance and advanced automotive repairs and diagnosis for engines, transmissions, suspension/steering, brakes, ABS/traction control, electrical systems, and heating/AC
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly maintain tools and equipment
  • Follow equipment manufacturer safety procedures and corporate safety policies
  • Organize presented work and plan for efficient vehicle movement and job performance
  • Perform repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer procedures or accepted industry practices
  • Work Saturdays as part of the regular schedule, with five working days, one weekday off, and Sundays off
