Summary
S & A Auto Repair LLC is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician. This person will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the cars. The Auto Technician performs a full range of duties, including but not limited to the installation, repair, maintenance, and inspection of mechanical and electrical systems.
JOB DUTIES
Performs related work as assigned, completing tasks in an efficient, timely, and professional manner
Communicates with management and the mechanical team about any preventive issues or future potential complications observed
Ability to work safely, adhering to the company policies
Maintains the area of work clean
Maintains, installs, services, parts such as Engines, Transmissions, Starters, air compressors, brakes, air conditioners, mufflers, Tune-ups, alternators, radiators, Differentials, Struts & shocks, ABS Systems, and other parts
Replaces fuses, light bulbs, electric switches, circuit breakers, fans, and other electrical parts.
Experienced and knowledgeable in various hand and power tools and their applications. Ensures their proper use, care, and storage
Work closely with other employees to motivate, train, and develop team skills
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Strong work ethic, ability to work and problem solve independently
Driver's license (Required)
Knowledge of the accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of maintenance trades.
Knowledge of the proper use of the scan tools, diagnostic tools, heater machines, lifts, A/C machines and any other equipment found in the facility.
Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals in the facility
Must have the hand and power tools to properly perform the job required and have the ability to adhere to the updates in new cars.
Ability to do routine mechanical and electrical maintenance and care for tools and equipment
The job duties require an employee to bend, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods
Must be bilingual, English and Spanish or English and Portuguese
Experience:
5 years of experience in mechanical auto repairs, testing/ diagnostics.
Professional experience in Engine, Transmission, Exhaust, Electrical maintenance, suspension and power, Brake system, Cooling System, Fluid, and Battery.
High school diploma
