Job summary

Walt Massey Automotive in Hattiesburg, MS is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards. You will work with a supportive team, communicate findings to service advisors, and continuously advance your skills through training and certifications.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and mentoring junior techs while staying current with evolving automotive technologies.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair software.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Communicate findings clearly to service advisors and teammates.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure work meets dealership standards.
