Job summary

AAA Tidewater is hiring Automotive Technicians for our Car Care Centers in Virginia. Immediate openings with sign-on bonuses: $1,500 for B Technician or $2,500 for an A Technician.

You will diagnose, repair per manufacturer specs, use software to obtain parts/labor, communicate with the service writer, perform state safety inspections, and support the team. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a State Inspection License, a valid driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State Inspection License required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor diagnostics on automobiles as required.
• Repair vehicles according to manufacturers’ specifications including brakes, suspension, exhaust, drive train, cooling system, tires, alignments, air conditioning/heating, ignition system, and fuel system.
• Utilize software to obtain parts and labor requirements for repairs.
• Communicate with the service writer/manager about repair status and needs.
• Perform state safety inspections as needed.
• Keep his/her work area clean and safe.
• Assist Lead Technician as required and in order to gain experience for future ASE Certifications.
• Various miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
• Assists other level technicians as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Automotive Technicians successfully meet goals and earn on average $60,700 - $74,100 annually.
