O'Daniel Motor Sales in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles across heavy mechanical and preventive maintenance scopes. As a Stellantis-authorized dealership, you will use diagnostic tools, work with service Advisors, and contribute to a clean, productive shop environment.

We value certified technicians with automotive school training or equivalent experience, ASE certification (preferred), and a strong team mindset.

Qualifications

• Stellantis Brand experience is preferred.
• Certification from an automotive technical school or equivalent experience.
• ASE Certification (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills within a team environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts and perform the tasks of a full-time line tech.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues all vehicles, including heavy mechanical and preventive maintenance.
• Perform multi-point inspections and recommend routine maintenance and repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot vehicle problems.
• Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to communicate repairs to customers.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and positive team dynamic.
• Pursue continuous manufacturer training and self-improvement.
• Ensure timely repairs within an 8-hour workday.
• Communicate with customers through video or still photos.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair issues all vehicles, including all aspects of the vehicle from heavy mechanical to preventative maintenance.
• Perform muti point inspections and recommend routine maintenance and repairs for worn, damaged or malfunctioning systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot vehicle problems.
• Collaborate with service advisors and fellow technicians to communicate repairs and service needs to customers.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines for repairs and maintenance.
• Contribute to a clean and organized workspace and maintain a positive team dynamic.
• Continuous manufacturer training and self-improvement.
• Ability to produce effective and timely repairs in an 8-hour workday.
• Utilize the latest technology to communicate directly with customers through video or still photos
