Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in East Hartford, CT is seeking an automotive technician/mechanic to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems across various makes and models. The role emphasizes major R&R transmission work, attention to detail, and teamwork.

You will perform vehicle inspections, assist with drive train components, and bring strong communication skills to a collaborative shop environment. AAMCO offers training, PTO, and a balanced 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Major R&R Technician on Transmissions.
• Strong diagnostic abilities on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with removal and reinstallation of major component systems including the drive train.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections.
• ASE Certifications preferred; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues across makes/models.
• Remove/reinstall major component systems including drive train.
• Perform vehicle inspections.
• Communicate findings and recommendations.
