Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in East Hartford, CT is hiring an Automotive Technician/ Mechanic. This on-site role offers up to $25-30/hour with a 40-hour work week, PTO, and ongoing training through AAMCO University.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform drive-line R&R, and inspect vehicles across various makes and models. The position emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and professional-grade tools.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic abilities on mechanical and electrical systems for various makes and models.
• Experience with removal and reinstallation of major component systems including all drive train components.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections.
• 5+ years' experience as a Major R&R Technician on Transmissions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Collaborative, team player.
• Ownership of professional grade tools.
• ASE Certifications (preferred).
• Hold a valid driver’s license (required).
