Job summary

Trehan Automotive Inc in Chicago is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our dealership service center. You will diagnose and repair vehicles and work with our dealership software to access vehicle history and service procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, relevant automotive training, ASE/SAE certification preferred, and strong customer service and communication skills. If you are a problem-solver with a proactive attitude, we want you on our team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• ASE certification or SAE certification is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communications skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes.
• Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status and maintaining technical documentation.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements.
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Convey necessary vehicle repair information to customers clearly and concisely.

Job Summary

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles. You must be comfortable using the dealership’s computer software and have extensive knowledge of vehicle systems.
