Job summary

A family-owned automotive dealership is seeking an Automotive Technician. The role requires relocation to Wilmington, NC, and offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience, an ASE Certification, and skills in mechanical troubleshooting. Responsibilities include performing repairs and maintaining vehicle systems. Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• Qualifications in Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair (B level).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work efficiently according to dealership policies.

• Maintain and repair vehicle systems including engine and electrical.
• Communicate with Service Advisors regarding additional repairs.

Wilmington is a vibrant beach community with a lively downtown on the Cape Fear River, offering restaurants, shops, and live music. Our Service Department operates Monday through Friday; our Sales Department is closed on Sundays and has reduced hours on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work efficiently according to dealership policies
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose systems using diagnostic tools
• Maintain and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
• Communicate with Service Advisors regarding additional repairs and estimates
• Execute warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required
• Qualifications in Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair (B level)
• Steady hand, good hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to operate diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service and basic computer skills
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
