UPS is seeking a Mechanic 1st Class in Brockton, MA to maintain and repair delivery vehicles, heavy-duty equipment, on-road tractors, and trailers. You will diagnose and fix hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronic systems, and engines, using standard and power tools. Shift is 6:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m.

The Mechanic 1st Class is responsible for the upkeep and repair of a wide array of equipment, such as delivery vehicles, heavy-duty machinery, on-road tractors, and trailers sourced from different manufacturers. They specialize in diagnosing and fixing issues with hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronic systems, and engines. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is $39.50 per hour with a one-year progression to top pay $47,68. For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
