Job summary

Role Description

This full-time Automotive Technician role is an on-site position based at Herzog-Meier Mazda in Beaverton, OR. The Automotive Technician will perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections, including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire services. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing issues, completing repairs on mechanical and suspension systems, and documenting all work performed in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. The technician will use diagnostic tools, follow safety protocols, communicate repair needs to service advisors, and help maintain an organized, clean workspace. Collaboration with other technicians and ongoing training to stay current with automotive technology and repair procedures are also key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in diagnosis of the various systems if a vehicle
• Hands-on experience in Automotive Repair and general Maintenance & Repair tasks.
• Experiehce with scantools required
• Understanding of automotive diagnostics, use of shop tools, and adherence to safety procedures.
• Relevant technical training or certification in automotive technology preferred (ASE or equivalent a plus).
• Ability to read and follow repair manuals, service bulletins, and work orders accurately.
• Reliable work habits, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
