Job description

We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven automotive technician to fill an open position in our car dealership’s service department. Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostics equipment to identify and complete automotive repairs to electrical and software systems. Responsibilities
  • Establish processes for tracking diagnostics and system repairs, maintaining up-to-date manufacturer specifications, and more.
  • Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes.
  • Ensure a straightforward repair process by clearly communicating systems issues and repairs.
  • Examine all vehicle systems such as the air conditioning, engine, transmission, and brake systems with a step‑by‑step approach.
  • Conduct routine maintenance as needed such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes.
  • Identify and determine the source of problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment and expertise.
  • Perform routine maintenance and courtesy inspections on customer vehicles.
  • Perform general repair and performance upgrades to all vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, wheels/tires, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate with managers and service advisors regarding diagnostics, inspections, and estimates for repairs.
