Job summary

Opus Inspection, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks a Senior Repair Technician to maintain the Georgia Clean Air Force fleet and coordinate covert vehicles for audit schedules. You will work Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm, with full benefits and a competitive compensation package.

The role requires a High School diploma (ASE certification or eligible within 90 days) and at least 2 years of automotive service experience. Strong diagnostic and communication skills are essential to succeed.

  • Strong diagnostic and repair abilities; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of all GA Clean Air Force fleet vehicles.
  • Set up and test covert audit vehicles.
  • Evaluate repair receipts with Customer Service to assess pricing and emissions relevance.
  • Visually inspect vehicles for repair waivers to confirm work performed.
  • Liaise with Georgia’s Clean Air Force public information staff for repair tech outreach.
  • Collaborate with management on emissions-related vehicle issues.
  • Research failed emissions test cases for potential solutions and repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Opus HQ garage.
  • Support auditors on vehicle and visual audits.
  • Assist fleet managers with vehicle issues during the day.
  • Provide support to the Assistant Repair Technician.

Job Summary

Location: 445 Atlanta South Parkway, Suite 150, Atlanta, GA 30349

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Compensation: $47,500-50,000

Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining all fleet vehicles and coordinating the covert vehicles to meet covert audit schedule.

  • Oversee the maintenance of all GA Clean Air Force fleet vehicles.
  • Ensure performance of covert vehicle, including the set up and testing failures of covert audit vehicles.
  • Assist Customer Service staff in evaluation of repair receipts to determine if pricing is reasonable and if work notated is emission related.
  • Visually inspect vehicles presented for repair waivers to determine whether the repair work has been performed.
  • Serves as liaison to Georgia’s Clean Air Force public information staff for repair tech outreach.
  • Work with management on motorist vehicles that have problems with emissions.
  • Research motorist vehicles that have failed test multiple years and are requesting another repair waiver to determine possible solutions and/or repairs to the vehicle.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Opus HQ garage.
  • Assist and provide support to auditors on both vehicle and visual audits.
  • Assist the Overt and Covert managers on any fleet vehicle issues that may occur through the course of the business day.
  • Provide support to the Assistant Repair Technician by answering questions as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A.S.E. Certified; or ability and interest to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years Automotive Service work experience
Qualifications
  • Proficient in vehicle diagnosis and repair.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of general office systems (i.e. PC), procedures and methods.
