Job summary

MSX International (MSXI) is seeking an Automotive Technical Consultant in the Los Angeles area. You will diagnose complex vehicle issues, provide remote and on-site support, and guide dealerships toward first-time quality repairs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in automotive repair, strong diagnostic skills, and able to travel locally. The role offers a hybrid schedule and benefits including insurance, a 401(k), and a vehicle allowance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of automotive repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to travel locally within an assigned territory.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex vehicle technical concerns and escalations.

• Support recall campaigns and RSUs.
• Conduct dealership consultations regarding repair processes and documentation.

• Collaborate with dealership personnel to improve customer satisfaction and service performance.
• Document case updates, findings, and recommendations using Microsoft Office tools.

MSXI is expanding one of our automotive client programs and is seeking experienced automotive professionals to join our team as a Automotive Technical Consultant

In this role, you will work closely with dealership service departments, providing technical expertise, troubleshooting support, and process improvement recommendations to help ensure vehicles are repaired correctly the first time.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex vehicle technical concerns and escalations.
• Provide technical assistance both remotely and on-site at dealerships.

• Support recall campaigns and Required Service Updates (RSUs).
• Conduct dealership consultations regarding repair processes and documentation.

• Collaborate with dealership personnel to improve customer satisfaction and service performance.

• Current or previous ASE Certification.
• Shop Foreman, Assistant Service Manager, or similar leadership experience.
• Experience analyzing repair data and documenting technical cases.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80K to $103K based on current experience.
