Job summary

The State of Georgia’s Southern Crescent Technical College is seeking a Federal Work Study Student in Automotive Technology for the Henry Campus. You will assist instructors, staff and students, help maintain the lab and classroom areas, and perform data entry related to shop activities.

Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours with SAP requirements, and capable of lifting up to 25 pounds. The role emphasizes reliability, willingness to learn, and professional customer service in a campus

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive terminology, repairs, and tools.
• Familiarity with common automobile makes/models and MS Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and determine their needs, routing to appropriate staff.
• Answer and screen phone calls, relay messages promptly and courteously.
• Assist with setting up lab and classroom areas and maintaining supplies.
• Enter shop activity data (car type, repairs, owner info, student logs).
• Maintain orderly office and lab environment; handle hand tools and materials.
