Job summary

Constellis is seeking a dedicated Automotive Maintenance Technician I to perform a range of mechanical repairs on gasoline-powered equipment and EV/hybrid systems across Los Angeles County locations. You will assist with preventive maintenance, tire service, fluid checks, and vehicle logistics, with occasional travel to County facilities.

Typical work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with potential extended hours; safety PPE and county-specified certifications are required.

Qualifications

Must have valid Class C Driver’s License.
2-4 years of automotive experience or vocational technical school.
Must complete County Live Scan.
ASE certified or willing to obtain within three months of employment.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Performs automotive skill level I vehicle maintenance on a variety of gasoline-power equipment.
Performs Preventive Maintenance, replaces oil and air filters, troubleshoots starting, braking and charging systems.
Check and maintain fluids and inventories.
Perform quick-fixed maintenance, patch-repair and tire/ windshield wiper replacements.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs for EV and hybrid models.
Park, jump-start, pick up and deliver County vehicles as needed.
Road-test vehicles on public streets and highways as required.
