Job summary

Chamberlain International School in Middleboro, MA seeks a full-time Automotive Teacher to lead students in repair, maintenance, and safety in a fully equipped shop. You will instruct on basic auto care, diagnostics, and complex systems while guiding a range of learners with varied needs.

Ideal candidates have a BS preferred but not required and at least 3 years automotive trade experience; MA teaching license and ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• BS preferred but not required, 3 years of equivalent automotive trade experience required.
• MA Teaching License preferred but not required
• Current ASE Certifications Preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students facing various learning and emotional challenges.
• Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended period of time and exhibit manual dexterity to use shop tools

Responsibilities

• Teach students about vehicle repair, parts installation, and maintenance.
• Demonstrate basic and advanced techniques, including computer diagnostics and vital system repairs (engine, electrical, transmission).
• Provide hands-on training in a fully equipped facility.
• Facilitate and effectively deliver course curriculum.
• Plan, develop, organize, and conduct a comprehensive automotive program.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians and school personnel.
• Coordinate with outside groups to obtain vehicles for demonstrations.
