Job Description

The Store Manager position is a salaried role. The Store Manager provides daily leadership to all store positions, including General Service Technicians, Technicians, Guest Care Specialists, and Assistant Store Managers. Reporting to the District Manager, responsibilities include staff selection, coaching, development, and supporting Monro’s vision to be America's leading auto and tire service center, trusted by guests for quality automotive service and tires.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $80,000, with additional compensation and incentives based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Develop sales and technical teams to deliver a 5-star guest experience.
  • Achieve sales goals through effective sales plans, product knowledge, and industry understanding.
  • Introduce tire and service products to maximize sales and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and develop teammates on shop operations and guest services.
  • Oversee staffing, recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Manage expenses including payroll, supplies, utilities, and store maintenance.
  • Handle inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, and stocking.
  • Audit courtesy inspections and ensure store cleanliness and readiness.
  • Schedule guest appointments and assign tasks based on skill levels.
  • Meet sales goals by informing guests about products and promotions.
  • Address guest needs, complaints, and build customer loyalty.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain technical proficiency through training and equipment operation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience in retail/sales.
  • Ability to manage financial results and control costs.
  • Motivational leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving, inventory management, and customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive, multitasking, and initiative-taking abilities.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Work in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and dust. Must be able to work flexible hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
