Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan seeks a Software Validation Engineer to support product development and system integration by creating automated tests, using Hardware in the Loop, and managing test environments. You will analyze requirements, vehicle components, and FMEA, and define test scopes and instrumentation strategies.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and extensive experience with dSPACE and HIL testing, Agile/Safe practices, and ISO26262.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related software validation occupation.
5 years of experience with each of the following: software testing methodologies and dSPACE Software Test Suite.
Knowledge of ASPICE SW development process and ISO26262 functional safety standards.

Responsibilities

Develop test methods for automated execution and testing scope.
Review execution reports and track software updates to fix issues.
Analyze requirements, electrical schematics, and FMEA documentation.
Design, maintain and execute test procedures including automation and vehicle variant management.
