Job summary

Standex Engraving in Maumee, Ohio is seeking a Program/Project Engineer – Soft Trim Tooling to lead tooling programs from award to production readiness. This role requires coordinating engineering, tooling, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers to ensure on-time, on-budget launches.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management with hands-on tooling experience in automotive soft trim, thermoforming, vacuum forming, IMG/IMGL, and interior trim tooling technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive tooling, manufacturing engineering, program management, or launch support.
• Experience supporting tooling programs through validation, launch, and production startup.
• Strong customer-facing communication and project coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Soft Trim tooling programs from award through production launch and post-launch stabilization.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules, milestones, and risk assessments.
• Serve as primary customer contact for program activities and issue escalation.
• Coordinate reviews, status meetings, and launch readiness across cross-functional teams.
• Track deliverables, changes, and timing risks to ensure proactive resolution.
• Support APQP, PPAP, and launch requirements as applicable.
