Renaissance Motors in Slidell, LA is seeking a versatile shop helper to keep the shop clean, organize parts, and assist technicians. The role includes light maintenance like cleaning lobby and bathrooms, handling scrap metal, and ensuring parts are in the right place to keep workflows smooth.

Responsibilities

• Keep the shop clean and organized to maintain productivity
• Clean lobby and bathrooms on schedule
• Handle scrap metal and trash and organize parts for technicians
• Perform quality control test drives after repairs to learn sounds and proper operation
• Help technicians when extra hands are needed and place parts correctly in the workflow
• Answer phones and assist with check-in of vehicles as needed

What The Job Actually Looks Like

The Foundation Stuff:

• Keep the shop clean and organized (techs can’t be productive in chaos)
• Clean lobby and bathrooms (someone’s gotta do it)
• Handle scrap metal and trash (exciting, we know)
• Organize parts for technicians

The Skills-Building Stuff:

• Quality control test drives after repairs (you’ll learn what “right” sounds like)
• Help techs when they need an extra hand (this is where you learn)
• Put parts in the right place at the right time (flow matters)

The Customer Experience Stuff

• Answer phones and help check in vehicles as needed
