CGL is seeking an Automotive Technician to supervise the repair and maintenance of vehicles and heavy equipment for our clients, including state inspections and safety compliance. The role involves directing shop activity, training offenders, and coordinating parts, tools, and timelines to ensure quality workmanship.

The candidate will inspect work, document outcomes, and maintain CMMS records while delivering responsive service to clients and upholding safety standards across the operation.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive repairs dealing with gasoline/diesel equipment and engine repair.
• Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
• Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools and test equipment to diagnose problems, make repairs, test accuracy and maintain records.
• Must be a team player with strong work ethic, positive attitude and customer-focused service.
• Must be computer literate and able to document work effectively.
• Must provide outstanding customer service to meet client needs.

Aufgaben

• Manages the automotive shop; coordinates repair assignments and establishes work practices.
• Assigns repair tasks to offender personnel; monitors and reports offender time using time cards.
• Trains offenders in equipment maintenance and repair.
• Monitors offender time according to policies and procedures.
• Plans jobs and orders materials for timely completion; completes purchase orders.
• Performs preventative maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
• Documents work orders and repairs in CMMS system.
• Ensures safety and quality compliance; mentors junior technicians.
• Coordinates vehicle inspections and responds to client status inquiries.
