Job summary

WheelsOnsite USA in Sterling, VA is seeking a motivated Shop Helper to join our automotive shop team. The role involves maintaining a clean workspace and assisting technicians with tire services and installations.

Qualifications include a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and familiarity with standard automotive tools. Training is provided for lifts, mounting/balancing equipment, and wheel installation.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to lift and carry objects up to 75 lbs.
• Able to identify and use standard and metric automotive hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently without daily supervision.
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced shop.
• Good communication with customers and teammates.
• Experience with tire mounting/balancing equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Responsible for garbage removal.
• Assist with refilling paint and supplies in inventory space.
• Assist other technicians with installations as needed.
• Pick up and drop off wheels and vehicles locally.
• Place vehicle on jacks and jack stands.
• Remove and install wheels and tires, including oversized tires (training provided).
• Mount, balance, and rotate wheels and tires (training provided).
• Utilize tire equipment and automotive lifts (training provided).
• Provide strong commitment to customer service.
• Comply with WheelsOnsite’s policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team – tire technician experience a plus!

Shop Helper Responsibilities:

Shop Helper Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently without daily supervision
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers and other employees
• Experience using tire mounting and balancing equipment is a plus!
