Job summary

WheelsOnsite USA in Sterling, VA is hiring an Automotive Shop Helper to join our tire and wheel service team. This entry-level role supports technicians, keeps the shop clean, and helps with installations as needed.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with competitive pay between $18 and $20 per hour. A valid driver's license and ability to lift heavy objects are required; prior tire experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry large, heavy objects (minimum of 75 lbs.).
• Able to identify and use standard automotive hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently without daily supervision.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Responsible for garbage removal.
• Assist with refilling paint and supplies in inventory space.
• Assist other technicians with installations as needed; pick up and drop off wheels and vehicles locally.
• Place vehicle on jacks and jack stands.
• Remove and install wheels and tires, including oversized tires (training provided).
• Mount, balance, and rotate wheels and tires (training provided).
• Utilize tire equipment and automotive lifts (training provided).
• Provide strong commitment to customer service.
• Comply with WheelsOnsite’s policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience using tire mounting and balancing equipment is a plus!
