Porcelli’s Auto Center in West Warwick, RI is seeking a Shop Foreman / Production Manager to run day-to-day shop flow, lead technicians, and perform quality checks. You’ll coordinate across departments, assign work, monitor progress, and help with estimating when needed.

Full-Time

Porcelli’s Auto Center is looking for a Shop Foreman / Production Manager.

We are looking for someone who can help us run the day-to-day flow of the shop, lead technicians, solve problems, and perform quality assessments at every step — while still being willing to jump in and get their hands dirty when needed.

What You’ll Do

• Be responsible for the daily workflow and production of the shop (with clear targets and weekly goals)
• Coordinate work between technicians, body, paint department, estimating, parts, and office staff
• Help assign and prioritize work to keep vehicles moving efficiently
• Monitor repair progress and identify delays or problems early
• Lead daily full team meetings
• Assist with repair planning, troubleshooting, and quality control
• Perform light body or repair work when needed to help keep production moving
• Help ensure vehicles are repaired properly and ready for delivery
• Assist with customer intake and reviewing customer concerns
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs, timelines, or next steps when needed
• Assist with estimating or appraisal-related tasks when appropriate
• Deliver completed vehicles or support customers when needed
• Help hold the team accountable for quality, productivity, and communication

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with significant automotive experience who understands how a busy repair shop operates.

You may currently be a:

• Shop Foreman
• Lead Technician
• Body Technician
• Estimator or Appraiser
• Production Manager
• Assistant Manager
• Service Manager with strong technical experience

What matters most is that you have strong automotive knowledge, can lead people, communicate well, and are willing to jump in wherever needed.

Qualifications

• Significant professional automotive repair experience
• Hands‑on technician, body repair, or collision experience strongly preferred
• Ability to understand repair orders, estimates, and repair procedures
• Experience supervising or directing technicians preferred
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable communicating directly with customers
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment
• Strong attention to quality and safe repair practices
• Estimating, appraisal, or collision repair experience is a major plus
