Garavel Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead a high‑performing service team. You will oversee mechanical repairs, ensure quality, and act as the main liaison between technicians, service advisors, and management.

This role blends hands-on leadership with accountability for shop efficiency, repair quality, and team growth. A valid driver's license, 2+ years as an automotive technician, and strong diagnostic skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Strong computer and technical skills; tool familiarity required.
• Must have own set of tools; dealership provides some special tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians to ensure repairs meet customer expectations and standards.
• Develop technicians into high-performing contributors with coaching.
• Bridge communication between technicians, service advisors, and management.
• Enforce quality control checks during repairs and at completion.
• Identify root causes of workmanship issues and educate staff.

The Role of the Shop Foreman

The Foreman ensures that all mechanical repairs meet or exceed customer expectations and company standards while actively developing technicians into high-performing Partner-level contributors.

This role blends hands-on technical leadership with accountability for shop efficiency, repair quality, and team growth. The Foreman serves as the primary bridge between technicians, service advisors, and management.

Technical & Quality Leadership

• Perform and enforce quality control checks during repairs and at job completion
• Identify workmanship-related comebacks and determine root cause
• Investigate repair failures and educate technicians on correct procedures
• Provide real-time technical support to on-site technicians
• Perform maintenance services with efficiency and per manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Detailed written communication on RO's.
• Test drive vehicles and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

Must Haves

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician
• Hold a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong computer and technical skills is a must
• Must have own set of tools (we provide the toolbox and special tools)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of a Shop Foreman, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.

• Ability to frequently move in and out of vehicles frequently
• Required to test drive all vehicles
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending.
