Job summary

Ken Garff Automotive Group's American Fork Ford is seeking an Automotive Shipping/Receiving Clerk to supervise and coordinate activities in verifying and preparing shipments.

The role requires reading and understanding instructions, one year of dealership experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a parts department computer system, tier-lift and hand trucks. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• One year of experience in a dealership position is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to interpret vendor catalogs.
• Ability to use the parts department computer system, calculator, motor vehicle and tier-lift/hand trucks is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities for accuracy and condition.
• Count, weigh, or measure items to verify against bills and orders.
• Determine shipping method using routes and rates.
• Affix shipping labels or mark cartons with information.
• Assemble containers and insert items with padding and spacers.
• Monitor and record shipments to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate tier-lift or hand trucks to move shipments.
