Parkline Motors in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an experienced Service Writer to support automotive service and vehicle preparation operations. You will manage work orders, coordinate repairs, and ensure vehicles are ready for sale and delivery.

The role requires attention to detail and strong communication with technicians and internal teams in a fast-paced dealership environment. On-site, full-time position with day shifts and occasional weekend hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Writer or in automotive service
• Strong communication with technicians, service teams, and management
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with service management software and computer-based systems

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage service work orders accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate vehicle repairs and service work prior to sale and post-purchase when needed
• Communicate with technicians and service staff to track progress and ensure timely completion
• Research automotive parts and assist with parts coordination and ordering
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation within dealership systems
• Provide internal updates on repair timelines, vehicle status, and completion expectations
• Assist with vehicle delivery coordination when follow-up service work is required
• Support workflow efficiency and organization within the service department
