Job summary

MFA Petroleum Company, operating a Big O Tires franchise, is seeking a General Service Technician to perform tire service, oil changes, and basic vehicle maintenance at our Shawnee, KS location. You will assist customers, handle merchandise, and maintain clean facilities.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and willingness to learn; prior automotive experience is helpful, and candidates must meet pre-employment screenings and legal work authorization.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English to communicate with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires and correctly torque wheels; check and fill fluids and replace filters and lights.
• Unload tires and merchandise from trucks and deliveries.
• Inspect disposed tires and store or dispose properly.
• Maintain store appearance and stock shelves.
• Provide fast and friendly customer service; explain benefits of services and products.
