Job summary

Socket.dev is hiring a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services such as oil changes, tire maintenance, and safety inspections while providing excellent customer experience. You will assist technicians, stock parts, and ensure a clean, organized shop environment.

Role requires a valid driver's license, 18+ years old, and willingness to learn; ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong interest in a career as an automotive technician.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Available to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Attend formal training to stay current with automotive technology.
• Perform oil changes and tire maintenance.
• Install batteries, headlights, and wiper blades; repair flats.
• Stock and unload tires; assist other technicians as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized shop; follow company policies.
