Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services and tire work while delivering great customer service. You will keep the tire/service area clean and safe and may advise customers on recommended services.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ years of age, a high school diploma or GED, and flexibility to work days, nights, holidays and weekends. Training provided on automotive tech and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated passion for a tech career in automotive.
• Eager to learn and driven to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems.
• Attend formal training to stay updated on automotive tech.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging.
• Install headlights and small bulbs.
• Repair flat tires.
• Install wiper blades.
• Stock and unload tires.
• Assist technicians in technical activities.
• Report repair problems to store management.
• Keep shop clean and organized.
• Adhere to company safety and environmental rules.
