Job summary

Kunes Auto Group, the fastest growing dealership in the Midwest, seeks an Experienced Automotive Tech to join our Woodstock CDJR team in Woodstock, IL. The role offers competitive flat-rate pay and a strong benefits package.

You’ll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles while working with a skilled team. ASE certification is a plus, and ownership of tools is expected. Growth and paid training are emphasized, with sign-on potential for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Service Tech.
• ASE certification a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and passion for all things automotive.
• Own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of new/used vehicles and identify mechanical or electrical issues.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to determine root causes of issues.
• Repair or replace components such as brakes, tires, belts, hoses and suspension.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes and tire rotations.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to the service manager.

What You'll Do:

• Perform thorough inspections of new/used vehicles and identify any mechanical or electrical issues
• Conduct diagnostic tests to determine the root cause of any issues
• Repair or replace parts as necessary, such as brakes, tires, belts, hoses, and suspension systems
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Communicate with the service manager and provide recommendations for any repairs or maintenance work that may be needed

Requirements

• 1+ plus years of experience as a Service Tech required
