Job summary

TGK Automotive Specialists in Minnesota is seeking a General Service Technician to perform routine automotive services and support shop operations. The role includes oil changes, tire and wheel services, and driving customers as well as picking up parts and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will follow the company’s safety procedures, document vehicle conditions, and assist with inspections where required, contributing to customer satisfaction and efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a minimum of five days per week, including weekends.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Previous automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic and hard-working individuals with a passion for cars.

Responsibilities

• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services
• Documents vehicle condition using the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop to include the service area, tire racks, showroom and outside the building
• Requires driving vehicles in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws; includes transporting customers, picking up parts, supplies, tires, etc.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) on vehicles
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values, and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Sun Auto Tire & Service Employee Handbook
