Job summary

Bert Ogden Auto Group in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repairs and routine maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, communicating with parts, supervising apprentices, testing and road-testing as needed, and maintaining a clean, safe shop environment while following all regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent required.
• ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and perform tasks as outlined with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts if under warranty or at customer request.
• Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
• Advise service advisor if extra work is required or if repairs cannot be completed as promised.
• Document all work performed.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to test technician.
• Supervise apprentices as assigned and attend factory training.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and account for dealership tools.
• Follow all regulations on disposal of hazardous waste.
