Automotive Service Technician, Mechanic

Job Intro

Freedom Honda in Sumter is a family-owned dealership where experienced automotive service technicians and mechanics troubleshoot and repair vehicles to meet manufacturer and dealership standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles, diagnose problems, and perform repair and maintenance work, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more.
• Provide labor and time estimates for repair/service work.
• Participate in training sessions to learn new techniques.
• Maintain a clean shop area and account for tools.
• Carry out additional duties as required based on expertise and certifications.

Requirements

• Experience as an automotive service technician or mechanic.
• Dealership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of contemporary automotive technologies and shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems, diagnostic tools, and A/C equipment.
• Reliable, strong work ethic and problem‑solving skills.
• Positive attitude and teamwork ability.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
