Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician in Geneseo, IL. You will perform maintenance and repairs, diagnose vehicle systems, and provide accurate labor estimates to support customer care and dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• ASE Certified.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment (wheel & tire, alignment, diagnostic, AC).
• Willing to undergo background, DMV, and drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs per repair orders, with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems: engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, AC.
• Provide accurate labor and time estimates for additional work.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to service advisors/customers in non-technical terms.
• Expand technical knowledge through ongoing training.
• Inspect and test vehicles, document findings to ensure repairs are completed.

Ed Morse is currently seeking an experiencedAutomotive Service Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance and repair work as specified on repair orders with efficiency, following dealership standards.
• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning, according to specifications.
• Providing accurate labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
• Clearly explaining mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs to service advisors and customers in a non-technical manner.
• Continuously expanding your technical knowledge through formal training sessions to stay current with rapidly evolving technology.
• Inspecting and testing vehicles, documenting findings to ensure all necessary repairs are completed.
