Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team. Join a family-oriented company with 80+ years of industry experience and a growing network across TX, FL, OK, MO, MT, IL, IA, CO, and AZ with over 60 locations.

You will diagnose and repair vehicle systems, provide labor estimates for repairs, and communicate findings to service advisors and customers, while staying current with evolving automotive technologies and dealership standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive service or a related field.
• ASE Certified is preferred.
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and HVAC to specification.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and required repairs in non-technical terms to service advisors and customers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive technology and dealership standards.
• Inspect and test vehicles to record findings and plan required repairs.
• Complete work in a timely and safe manner in accordance with shop policies.

Ed Morse is currently seeking an experiencedAutomotive Service Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• As a Technician you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.
• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• ASE Certified
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check, DMV screen, and drug screen
