Job summary

The Pep Boys Manny Moe & Jack LLC in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services, including oil changes, tire maintenance, and inspections, while delivering an excellent customer experience.

You will assist in diagnosing and repairing, stock tires, and maintain a clean shop, all while upholding safety policies. Valid driver’s license, 18+ years old, HS diploma/GED required; opportunities for training and background check will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and pursue a career as an automotive technician.
• Ability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic automotive services including oil changes and tire maintenance.
• Mounting and balancing tires; tire repairs.
• Install batteries, headlights and other small bulbs; inspect vehicles.
• Stock tires and assist fellow technicians; keep shop clean and organized.
• Follow safety, environmental rules and company policies.
