Performance Ford of Somerville is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Somerville, NJ. You will diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles to ensure safety and performance, while communicating clearly with customers and advisors.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, relevant experience, and knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. ASE certification is a plus; we value teamwork and a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an automotive service technician or mechanic preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and service bulletins.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• ASE certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs following manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and electrical issues and provide accurate assessments.
• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and engine tune-ups.
• Maintain detailed records of all service and repairs performed.
• Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain issues and repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Stay up to date with latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
