Job summary

Toyota of Montgomery is seeking a dedicated Service Technician/Automotive Mechanic to diagnose and repair vehicles in a full-time, on-site role in Montgomery, AL. The ideal candidate will perform repairs to dealership and factory standards, document work, and communicate effectively with the parts department and service staff.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (ASE certification preferred), State Emission and Vehicle Inspector certifications, and strong mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• ASE certification preferred.
• State Emission Certification.
• State Vehicle Inspector Certification.
• Proficient mechanical skills.
• Must lift/pull 20 lbs repeatedly.
• Able to kneel/bend/reach during repairs.
• Ability to interact with customers and staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles per repair orders and standards.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Document all work performed on repair orders.
• Road test vehicles when required or refer to test technician.
• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Maintain shop area, tools, and manuals; keep clean and organized.
• Wear PPE and comply with safety regulations.
